Puerto Galera is just 3 to 4 hours away from Metro Manila. To get there,

Go to any of the following bus terminals in Metro Manila going to Batangas Pier (sign board):

  1. Bus Terminals near the corner of Taft Avenue and Gil Puyat Avenue (formerly Buendia), Pasay City – nearest Ninoy Aquino International Airport and Domestic Airport.
  2. Bus Terminal in EDSA corner Kamias Street, Quezon City.
  3. Bus Terminal in Alabang, Muntinlupa City.
  4. Bus Terminal near Ali Mall, Araneta Center, Cubao, Quezon City

Travel time from terminal to Batangas pier is about less than 2 hours

Fare: less than 200 pesos.

Go to Terminal 3 , better ask the guards to guide you where. Look for the Ticket Booth of your chosen Puerto Galera Ferry. Buy your ferry ticket including Terminal Fee ticket. Proceed to the Passenger Terminal and wait for the scheduled departure of your chosen ferry, they usually arrange per schedule and ferry name. Travel time to Puerto Galera is around 1 hour and 15 minutes. We are actually heading to Sabang beach at that time. (Do not let barkers to take your luggage and stuff they will charge you for that.) Clink this link to know where you are heading.

Upon reaching the coast some locals will be approaching you offering to carry your luggage, you better refuse, tipping is popular in the Philippines and yeah it is kinda mandatory thing when someone offered you help especially if you’re not a local.

If you are the kind of person who doesn’t want hassle, you better book your accommodation ahead of time. But as for us, we haven’t booked any d

We stayed at Sabang hills resort,it is actually owned by a swiss national. They have good facilities and crew at affordable price. We took the standard room at 2,000 per night good for two,it was a good one and the only difference between the deluxe is the sofa but we transferred in the deluxe fornour last 2 nights, actually it is one of the most BEAUTIFUL RESORT in Sabang beach they have private pool, bar, restaurant and game area. Here are the photos i took in the resort. As you can see from our room and balcony, we had  breathtaking view of the beach and the town itself.

Here are some things you will find in Puerto Galera. We went out for some ISLAND hopping, since we wanted a private one, we rented a boat it cost us PHP 2,000 to tour all the beaches around. Upon reaching long beach, bankers would be approaching you to offer some activities like snorkeling, cave tour etc, which we did, it was worth 200 pesos per activity. See the mini boat below that is how you will get to the snorkeling place and the cave, another banker toured us around while the boat we rented will be waiting for us until we finish with it. About the food, uhmmm there is nothing special really except the creative dining places and expect the prices to be more expensive. Yeah from beer to desserts.  I think we spent around Php 30, 000 for  two, which is i think is okay since we spent 5 night in there and we were really into food hunting and we had drinks every night and we rented private boat and great accomodation so yeah that made it.

Fire dancing is very popular in Puerto Galera specially at night at the White Beach. Plenty of bars around and gay shows. You can have your dinner right at the beach while enjoying the live shows. After having a great dinner, just go to some of the bars or walk along the beach at night. You better get ready for the tip. Henna tattoo is also a mainstream in there. If you want to get inked in affordable price, its one of the place.

I hope you enjoyed my short story telling and those breathtaking views!! 🙂
